Biography
I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a doctoral minor in Statistics through the Department of Statistics. I also earned a graduate certificate in Business, Environment, and Social Responsibility from the Wisconsin School of Business, reflecting my commitment to sustainability, ethics, and strategic thinking in the built environment. I’m a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in construction, and before transitioning fully into practice, I spent nine years in academia—five as a graduate researcher and four as a professor—teaching civil engineering at the college level.

Beyond my passion for civil engineering, analytical thinking has always fueled my career. My strong foundation in statistics and data science helps students think critically, solve problems methodically, and connect theory to practical engineering applications. I further strengthened this foundation by completing graduate-level online courses in probability theory, machine learning, and Python under MIT faculty.

From my earliest years in a French school, where writing every word with a fountain pen during literature classes was not just encouraged but required, I learned that precision, discipline, and care are not merely habits—they are a mindset. Those formative experiences shaped how I approach everything I do today, from engineering to teaching. The deliberate act of writing with a fountain pen taught me to value clarity, structure, and purpose, principles that now define both my brand and my teaching philosophy. The fountain pen in my brand symbolizes the bridge between precision and creativity, the essence of both engineering and education. Just as a pen transforms thought into form, my teaching philosophy turns complexity into clarity, empowering every student to build confidence and mastery one concept at a time.
